– Trinity is seeking its 21st Football State Championship

– Friday will mark the seventh consecutive State finals appearance for the Shamrocks.  Coach Bob Beatty has led the Shamrocks to 11 state championship games in 12 seasons.

– Junior RB Dalyn Dawkins has rushed for over 100 yards in 10 games this season.  Dawkins has rushed for over 200 yards in his last two games.

– Junior’s James Quick and Jason Hatcher are hearing from Division 1 coaches across the country.  The two have received 19 scholarship offers between the two.

Notes

– Scott County is seeking its 2nd football state championship.

(1975)

– 2011 is the Cardinals 3rd appearance in the state football finals.  Scott County won the 1975 Class 2A championship.  In 2004 the Cardinals lost 49-9 to Louisville St. Xavier.

– The Cardinals backfield has carried the load this season, rushing for over 3,800 yards.

– Lexington schools have been no match for the Cardinals this season, as they have won four contests by a combined score of 199-34.
