head to head contact, should have been thrown out of game
looks like cheap shot to me. If he wants to hit, use the shoulder and tackle properly.
First of all notice the kid that gets hit, gets up quickly and back into the play. Absolutely wrong on the cheap shot.The ball bounced and the returner should have let the ball go. The defender did not leave his feet or lead with the crown of the helmet. I have the original and where it may appear it is helmet to helmet it is actually shoulder pad to facemask. As a fan I would like him to tackle lower and wrap up but definitely not a cheap shot or dirty play. It was a game changer and as a defender that is your goal.
His face was UP if you pause it on contact he actually had is face up – hips extended – and was chest to chest with him.
