HSreplays top 25 Kentucky high school basketball rankings 1/1/12

HSreplays top 25 week ending 1/1/12

1. Trinity (10-2) The Rocks are just too quick and athletic for most teams in the state.

2. Bullitt East (11-2) BEHS went 3 of 4 this week in Fort Walton, Fla. at Beach Blowout.

3. Ballard (8-5) The Bruins are 8-5 but only Bullitt East has beat them in state.

4. Scott County (9-3) Scott County had a good showing at the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, SC..

5. P.R.P (12-3) The Panthers keep in rolling at the East Aurora Holiday Tournament.

6. Lexington Catholic (12-2) LC rolled through their home tournament until they met Trinity.

7. Madison Central (12-0) The Indians are 12-0 but haven’t played a very difficult schedule.

8. Marshall County (11-1) The Marshals only loss is to Montgomery County.

9. George Rogers Clark (12-2) The Cardinals have won 10 strait.

10. Jeffersontown (11-4) The Chargers after a tough early season stretch have in rolling now.

11. Knott County Central (11-2) The Patriots lost a pair this week in a Florida tournament.

12. Perry County Central (10-4) Perry Co. played well in a couple of out of state tournaments.

13. Clinton County (13-1) The Bulldogs fight on with only one blemish on their record.

14. Henry Clay (9-5) The Blue Devils are a very talented team that has played a lot of top teams.

15. Moore (11-3) Moore played well in the Republic Bank Holiday Classic in Lexington.

16. Butler (7-5) The Bears record does not tell how good they are with 4 of the 5 losses to really good teams.

17. Montgomery County (11-3) . The Indians have lost 3 of the last 5 after a great start to the season.

18. Southwestern (10-3) The Warriors only in state loss is to a good George Rogers Clark team.

19. Covington Catholic (9-4) The Colonels are 9-4 against a solid schedule.

20. Oldham County (12-3) Oldham Co. has a good record but have been blown out in games against top teams.

21. Holy Cross (Covington) (11-1) The Indians are on a 10 game winning streak.

22.  Hopkinsville (12-1) The Tigers have an impressive record but no big wins.

23. Glasgow (9-2) The Scotties have already avenged 1 of their 2 losses.

24. Central (8-4) The Yellow Jackets have some good wins and bad losses.

25. Simon Kenton (10-3) The Pioneers crack the top 25 winning 5 of the last 6 games.

  1. marshall co only loss was to montgomery co not madison central.
